Iconography of mask paper bags

This is a photo of do it yourself paper bag masks. There was a workshop on masks at the the three day Iconography of masks event. Kim led the workshop. She was fascinating. She had an amazing collection of fetish masks dating back to the '50s to the present time. She's a dominatrix and a true life fetish queen who has been one of the main organizers of London's legendary fetish club, Club Rub. At one point during the workshop, Kim, gave all the participants a paper bag and asked them to make a mask out of the bag. These are some of the results. The bag masks in the photo include ones from artist and fetish model Debbie Griffin, the Lucha Libre wrestler Shiro Yoshida and Noko from the band Apollo 440.The paper bag session in the workshop features in the film/trailer that is on this website
