Koy and band

I went to Japan in April 2008 to film a documentary about Koy. She is a talented musician/performer from New York who has been living and performing in Japan since 1992. This is Koy singing in a rehearsal with her band 4649. The woman playing guitar is Mah. She is a well known musician on the scene in Japan and she is the daughter of well respected famous actors/movie stars. Both her parents won the Japanese equivalent of the Academy Award Oscar. The other person is a former member of the band. I took this photo in an S&M Mistress bar in Tokyo. They used to rehearse there during the day and some times perform there at night.
