Lari Shox

I took this photo in the very early 1980s. This is Lari Shox performing with various performers before he put together the very Klaus Nomi-influenced Shox Lumania. The band was originally conceived by Lari Shox in the early 1980's with music written by the brilliant Man Parrish. I am trying to remember Lari and the band. I remember the concept was based on the idea that they were all from Lumania, a pre-Atlantis civilization that had mastered time travel and going in and out of dimensions. One of the singers in the band was Stephanie Kaye. She was one of the first people that I met when I moved to New York. She introduced me to Lari. Lari Shox passed away from HIV in the late 80's.
