This is a promotion film for a Russian school in Prague called the Prague Education Center. We were hired to make a short film to promote the school for parents and the internet. This school teaches students from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Poland. The students attend a special two-year course in Prague.
The objective of this film is to show the high quality of this school, the beauty of the city of Prague and to show the families of the students the opportunities that their children will have by attending this school. We express this by showing the various sites of Prague such as Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and other historical locations. We then interview former students about their experience at the school and how they now have better lives as a result. We then move physically inside the school. We observe the students in the school and eating in the canteen. We go into the various offices and into the classrooms to see teachers giving lessons to attentive students.
We see the various rooms with active students: students in computer classrooms and students playing billiards and ping-pong. We show the friendly atmosphere that is conducive for learning at the school. They talk about the realities of the complex preparation of entering university and not knowing really what to expect when they first came to Prague to go to the P.E.C. school.
We see the image of students being greeted at the airport and getting on buses with the P.E.C. school logo. The buses take them to their place of living. We see where they live (the dormitory) and how their new life begins. The former students go on to explain the benefits of the P.E.C. education and life in Prague. We see the well-equipped center with experienced teachers and native-speakers, and the European level of education with all the school has to offer.
We also show what the students do in their free time in Prague; entertainment, sports, communication with foreigners and as a result of all this; gaining a new view of life and the world in which they live. The students speak about the Czech Republic being in the center of Europe making it an ideal location for culture and unlimited opportunities.
