I have know both Eric and Meredith for quite some time, back in the New York days. Meredith did and still does casting for films. When I was an actor looking for work in New York, she would often cast me in films. At the Mudd Club reunion Eric was filming interviews for the Club 57 film that he has been making with Frank Holliday and Barry Shils. He was also collaborating with us filming the event of the Mudd club Reunion. Meredith was in the basement of the club filming the bands most of the night. We will use her footage for the film that we are making about the Mudd Club reunion. She really did a great job of filming!
Meredith created her casting company Amerifilm Casting, Inc. in 1986 and it has been going strong ever since. They cast films, commercials, TV shows, music videos and lots of others. They first cast the Amos Kolleck film "Forever Lulu" and has gone on to casting for the TV show "Sex in the City" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". She has worked with renowned film directors such as Julian Temple, the Hughes Brothers, and James Foley. Meredith is presently doing the background casting of David Chase's (the creator of Soprano's) new feature which is a 60's period film about a rock and roll band.
Eric has had his production company "American Montage" for twenty five years now. American Montage is dedicated to the idea that editing is the cornerstone of filmmaking. American Montage Inc. is a dynamic, multi-faceted, New York City-based company that produces quality documentaries, commercials, music videos, feature films and corporate communications. They also provide writing, casting, film and video production for clients big and small. Their post-production capabilities include non-linear editing on both Avid and Final Cut Pro systems, motion graphics for ad agencies, corporations, broadcast and cable television, and website development for film and entertainment companies. They are in the last hours of a Kickstarter campaign for Ear of the Heart: The Music of Galt MacDermot the film. He is also working hard on a video based web site called theatrefanatic. which is devoted to promoting Off Broadway and and Off Off Broadway. To launch in Spring 2011. Eric and Meredith are truly a power couple who fulfill their creative visions, always adapting and coming up with new ideas. The light next to Eric's head is not a glare off a light, but actually a new idea that Eric is having just at this moment.
