The Beef Stew poetry and readings

From what I know it started in 1992 in the basement of Radost. It was a gathering of mostly expat writers and poets getting together and doing readings of their work. There was a signup sheet and an open mic. Some took themselves too serious and some did not. There was the occasional music. There was talent and silliness. It seemed serious enough. Expectations were high. Whatever happened to these people? Did any of them go on to become writers?
